Beta Terms
This page was last updated on 2026-10-01.
These Artisafe Beta Terms (the "Beta Terms") apply when you use Artisafe Test Drive or any other Artisafe feature, service or software that we label as "beta," "preview," "early access," "trial," "Test Drive" or something similar (each a "Beta Offering").
The Beta Offerings are provided by Artisafe ("Artisafe," "we," "us" or "our"). "You" means the individual using a Beta Offering and, if you use it on behalf of a company or other organization, that organization.
Please read these Beta Terms carefully. They include a disclaimer of warranties (Section 8) and a limitation of our liability (Section 9).
1. Accepting these Beta Terms
1.1. By selecting Start test drive, by clicking to accept these Beta Terms, or by otherwise accessing or using a Beta Offering, you agree to these Beta Terms and to the Artisafe Terms of Service at https://artisafe.com/legal/terms (the "Terms of Service"). If you do not agree, do not use the Beta Offering.
1.2. If you use a Beta Offering on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Beta Terms for that organization, and "you" includes that organization.
2. What Artisafe Test Drive is
2.1. Artisafe Test Drive is a free, self-serve preview of Protofilter. It lets you connect an AI agent to a hosted Test Drive workspace and watch real policy enforcement and audit logging operate against fictional sample data that we provide.
2.2. Test Drive is for evaluation only. It is not a production service, and it is not a representation of the final features, performance, security controls or commercial terms of any generally available Artisafe product.
3. Relationship to other Artisafe terms
3.1. These Beta Terms supplement the Terms of Service, or, if you have a separate signed agreement with Artisafe that governs the Artisafe service, that agreement (whichever applies, the "Main Terms"). Capitalized terms used but not defined in these Beta Terms (for example "Customer Data," "Usage Data," "Agent" and "Connected Service") have the meanings given in the Terms of Service.
3.2. If these Beta Terms conflict with the Main Terms, these Beta Terms control for Beta Offerings only. Nothing in these Beta Terms changes the Main Terms for any generally available Artisafe product.
3.3. The Artisafe Product Privacy Notice at https://artisafe.com/legal/privacy (the "Privacy Notice") describes how Artisafe handles personal data in connection with Beta Offerings. These Beta Terms, the Main Terms and the Privacy Notice together are the whole agreement between you and Artisafe about Beta Offerings.
4. Eligibility
4.1. You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use a Beta Offering.
4.2. Beta Offerings are intended for business and professional evaluation, not for personal, family or household use.
4.3. You may not use a Beta Offering if you are barred from receiving it under the laws of the United States or any other applicable jurisdiction, including sanctions and export control laws, or if you are a direct competitor of Artisafe using it to build a competing product.
5. Your data: sample data only
5.1. Use fictional sample data only. Test Drive runs on fictional sample data that we supply. Do not enter, upload, connect or otherwise submit any real customer data, personal data, credentials, secrets, confidential or proprietary information, or any data subject to legal, regulatory or contractual protection (for example health, financial, payment card, government-identifier or children's data). This includes data that reaches Test Drive through an AI agent or tool you connect.
5.2. Your workspace may be reset or deleted. We may reset, clear or delete your Test Drive workspace, its configuration, policies, audit records and any other content in it, at any time and without notice. We are not obligated to keep, back up, return or export anything from a Beta Offering. Do not rely on a Beta Offering to store anything you need. Resetting or deleting a workspace does not necessarily erase audit records that have already been written to Artisafe's retained audit archive; the Privacy Notice explains how long they are kept.
5.3. Activity is logged. Test Drive includes real audit logging. Actions you and your connected agents take (for example tool calls, policy decisions and configuration changes) are recorded as part of the evaluation. We may use this information, and technical and usage data about how you use the Beta Offering, to operate, secure, support, analyze and improve our products and services, as described in the Privacy Notice.
5.4. Reduced commitments. Beta Offerings may be subject to reduced or different security, privacy, data-location, retention and compliance commitments than generally available Artisafe products. Any data processing addendum, security addendum or data-residency commitment in your Main Terms does not apply to a Beta Offering unless it expressly says so.
5.5. If real data is submitted anyway. If you submit data in breach of Section 5.1, you are responsible for it, and we may delete it and suspend your access without notice.
5.6. Real-provider evaluation is separate. Connecting a real third-party account or service to Artisafe is not part of Test Drive. Any such connection is a separate, opt-in activity governed by the Main Terms (or other terms we present at the time), not by the sample-data scope of these Beta Terms.
6. Acceptable use
When using a Beta Offering, you will not, and will not help anyone else to:
(a) use it in a production or "live" environment, or to protect, process or make decisions about real systems or data;
(b) probe, scan, penetration-test, load-test or benchmark it, or attempt to bypass its security, policy, rate or usage controls, except as we expressly permit in writing (see Section 6.2);
(c) reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to derive its source code, models or underlying structure, except to the extent the law expressly allows despite this restriction;
(d) access it by automated means other than through the agent connection and interfaces we provide for the evaluation;
(e) use it to send spam or malware, to infringe or misappropriate anyone's rights, or for any unlawful, harmful or abusive purpose;
(f) share your access credentials, or resell, sublicense or provide the Beta Offering to anyone else; or
(g) use it to build or benchmark a competing product or service.
6.2. Security research. If you believe you have found a security vulnerability, please report it to [SECURITY CONTACT EMAIL] rather than testing it further.
7. Changes, availability and support
7.1. Beta Offerings may change or end. Beta Offerings may be incomplete, contain errors, or not work as expected. We may change, suspend, limit or discontinue any Beta Offering, or any feature of it, at any time, for any reason, with or without notice. We may never release a Beta Offering, or anything like it, as a generally available product.
7.2. No service levels or support. No service level agreement, uptime commitment, response-time commitment or support obligation applies to a Beta Offering. We may offer help or answer questions at our discretion, for example at [SUPPORT CONTACT EMAIL].
7.3. Usage limits. We may set, and change, limits on how much or how long you use a Beta Offering.
7.4. Third-party services. You may connect third-party software or services, such as an AI assistant or agent, to a Beta Offering. Your use of those third-party services is governed by your agreements with their providers, and we are not responsible for them.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
BETA OFFERINGS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS," "WITH ALL FAULTS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES, INDEMNITIES OR REPRESENTATIONS OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ARTISAFE DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY AND QUIET ENJOYMENT, AND ANY WARRANTY THAT A BETA OFFERING WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF DATA LOSS, OR THAT IT WILL PREVENT ANY PARTICULAR ACTION BY AN AI AGENT. ANY WARRANTY, INDEMNITY OR SERVICE LEVEL IN THE MAIN TERMS DOES NOT APPLY TO BETA OFFERINGS.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranties to be disclaimed, so some of these disclaimers may not apply to you.
9. Limitation of liability
9.1. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ARTISAFE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO A BETA OFFERING OR THESE BETA TERMS, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF THOSE DAMAGES.
9.2. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ARTISAFE'S TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO ALL BETA OFFERINGS AND THESE BETA TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED [US$100 — AMOUNT TO BE CONFIRMED], REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY. THIS CAP APPLIES EVEN IF A HIGHER CAP APPEARS IN THE MAIN TERMS.
9.3. These limitations apply to the fullest extent permitted by law and are an essential part of the basis on which we offer Beta Offerings free of charge. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of them may not apply to you.
10. Your responsibility for misuse
You will defend and indemnify Artisafe against third-party claims arising from data you submit in breach of Section 5.1 or from your breach of Section 6.
11. Feedback
If you give us comments, suggestions, ideas or other feedback about a Beta Offering or any Artisafe product ("Feedback"), we may use it for any purpose without restriction, obligation or payment to you. You are not required to give Feedback. We will not publicly identify you as the source of Feedback without your permission.
12. Confidentiality of non-public features
12.1. This Section 12 adds to the confidentiality terms in the Main Terms (Section 9 of the Terms of Service). Some Beta Offerings, or parts of them, may not yet be public. Information we identify as confidential, or that a reasonable person would understand to be confidential, about non-public Beta Offerings (including unreleased features, documentation, pricing and performance information) is Artisafe's confidential information.
12.2. You will use that information only to evaluate the Beta Offering, protect it with at least reasonable care, and not disclose it to anyone except your employees and advisors who need to know it and are bound by similar confidentiality obligations. This does not apply to information that is or becomes public through no fault of yours, that you already knew or independently developed, or that you must disclose by law (with prompt notice to us where legally allowed).
12.3. The fictional sample data and the fact that Artisafe Test Drive exists are not confidential. You may share your own general impressions of a public Beta Offering.
13. Ownership
Artisafe and its licensors own all rights in the Beta Offerings, the sample data, and all related software, documentation and materials. Subject to these Beta Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable right to use a Beta Offering during the period we make it available to you, solely for your internal evaluation. We reserve all rights not expressly granted.
14. Suspension and termination
14.1. Either you or we may stop your use of a Beta Offering at any time, for any reason or no reason. You may stop by ending your Test Drive or ceasing to use it.
14.2. We may suspend or end your access immediately and without notice, including if we believe you have breached these Beta Terms, if your use creates a security, legal or operational risk, or if we discontinue the Beta Offering.
14.3. When your access ends, your right to use the Beta Offering ends, and we may delete your Test Drive workspace and its contents. Sections 5.2, 5.5, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 15 and 16, and any other terms that by their nature should continue, survive.
15. Changes to these Beta Terms
We may update these Beta Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and change the "Last updated" date. If you keep using a Beta Offering after an update takes effect, you accept the updated Beta Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Beta Offering.
16. General
16.1. Governing law and venue. These Beta Terms are governed by the laws of [GOVERNING LAW JURISDICTION], without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The courts located in [VENUE] have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Beta Terms, and you and we consent to that jurisdiction.
16.2. Export and sanctions. You will comply with all applicable export control and sanctions laws in using a Beta Offering.
16.3. Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these Beta Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization or sale of assets, or to an affiliate.
16.4. Entire agreement; severability; waiver. These Beta Terms, together with the Main Terms and the Privacy Notice (Section 3), are the entire agreement about Beta Offerings. If any provision is found unenforceable, it will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible and the rest will remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
16.5. Notices. We may give you notices through the Beta Offering or by email to the address associated with your account. You may send notices to us at [LEGAL NOTICES EMAIL] or [REGISTERED ADDRESS].
16.6. No agency. Nothing in these Beta Terms creates a partnership, joint venture, agency or employment relationship.
